Visitor Information
We would be honored to have
you as our guest. If you are considering a visit to New Bethel Baptist
Church, this page may help to answer some of your questions.
When should I visit?
As
soon as possible! We're here ready to welcome you.
How
do I get there?
NBBC is located on the corner of New
Bethel Road and Shipley Hollow Road in Elkmont, Alabama. Click here
to get personalized driving directions to NBBC from where you are.
Where
should I park?
We invite our guests to take
advantage of the guest parking spaces conveniently located at the front
of the sanctuary.
What time should I
arrive?
Adult, teen, and children's Sunday
school begins at 9:15am. Our Sunday morning worship service begins at
10:30am. We recommend arriving about 10 minutes before the service
begins.
What
should I expect on Sunday morning?
When you arrive
someone will greet you with a smile and hand you a copy of the program,
which includes the order of the service and an outline our pastor provides for you to follow along
and take notes. Ushers are happy to help you find where you're going or
to answer any questions you have. Make your way into the sanctuary and
feel free to sit anywhere you like. You may have someone introduce
themselves to you and welcome you, but we will not have visitors be
recognized or singled out in any way. Relax and enjoy the service.
What
should I wear?
You should feel comfortable, so dress
according to your own comfort level. On Sunday mornings you will find a
variety of dress, from suits to jeans. Many folks wear casual and
comfortable clothes on Sunday morning. Come as you are - we'll just be
glad you're here!
What should I bring with
me?
If you have a Bible, bring it with you. If not,
that's OK -- the scripture is shown on a projection screen during the
sermon. You may want to bring a pen to fill out a visitor information
form and follow along with the sermon by filling in the blanks on the
note sheet provided. Don't worry, the pastor gives all the answers and
there's no test after the service!

Yes.
We have a
well-equipped nursery and caring nursery workers to care for your
infants and toddlers during Sunday School and Worship Services. The
nursery is located in the multi-purpose building. From the east
entrance of the multi-purpose building, the nursery for bed babies is
the 2nd room on the left. The 1-2 year-olds are in the first room
on the right, and 3-4 year-olds are in the 2nd room on the right.
No. An offering
plate will be passed during Sunday morning worship service, but please
don't feel that you need to make a donation. As our guest, you aren't
expected to contribute to the offering. We only ask that you
consider dropping a visitor information form in the offering plate to
allow us to get to know you a bit or respond to any needs that you may
have. The offering is only for our members and regular attende
es to
give as the Lord has directed them.
How
long does the service last?
Most Sunday morning
worship services last about an hour.
Who should I talk
to if I have other questions?
Please give us a call
at the church office, 732-4455, or email
your questions. We hope to see you soon at New Bethel Baptist Church!
